May 8th, 1970, Motown released the second LP of the Jackson 5, called "ABC".
It contains cover versions of Don't
Know Why I Love You (Stevie Wonder), (Come
Round There) You're The One I Need (Smokey Robinson), The
Young Folks (Supremes), La-La
Means I Love You (Delfonics), the psychedelic I'll
Bet You (George Clinton), and also original tracks like One
More Chance, 2-4-6-8,
The
Love You Save and ABC.
The latters topped at number 1, demonstrating that the band earned itself
a own style. The recording sessions included tracks that would be released,
several decades after, in the Soulsation

Honey , and A
Fool For You.
"ABC" topped at #4 in the Pop charts, better than their first album with more than 850000 buyers, during the first year in the USA.
On May 2nd, 1970, the Jackson 5 gave their first Motown concert, at the Philadelphia Convention Center. They gave an outstanding performance, with at the head of them, little Michael, who was proving that he was provided with a great professionalism.
In July 1970, Michael and his brothers
break crowd records at the Great Western Forum of Los Angeles, with 18000
spectators. On october 9th, they began a tour on the East coast, but didn't
manage to finish their show, fans' enthusiasm might have turned into riot.
On 10th of october, in Philadelphia stadium, girls passed out, while Jermaine
sang I
Found That Girl.

Le 2 mai 1970, les Jackson 5 donnent leur premier concert en tête d'affiche au Convention Center de Philadelphie, ils brûlent ces planches, avec à leur tête le minuscule Michael, qui s'avère doté d'un professionnalisme digne d'un vétéran du spectacle.
En juillet 1970, Michael et ses frères battent le record d'affluence au Great Western Forum de Los Angeles avec 18 000 spectateurs.
